welcomes to the International Conference “Preventive Social Work in Russia and Europe”
on November, 10-12, 2008 in St.Petersburg
The Conference provides a forum for involving professionals and academics in innovative discussion on theory and practice of social work. Its overall aim is to identify how the needs of a wide range of societies can be met through the generation of new knowledge, concepts and models in preventive social work. In doing so, the Conference focuses on:
- enhancing the development of knowledge, skills and experience of preventive social work;
- shaping organizational changes and new governance and non-governance processes of welfare systems;
- promoting a comparative approach to the analysis of preventive social work;
- analyzing quality criteria and reflecting on best practice of preventive social work with different clients groups;
- encouraging the international dissemination and exchange of information on significant developments in this field.
