The C&R Conference Dubrovnik 2009 will attract participants from all continents keen to advance collaboration and networking among different regions and professional fields. Papers, presentations, narratives that focus on strengths based practices around the world will be tabled at this conference.

Conference themes

Given a variety of approaches to studying coping and resilience and hope building issues and practicing skills to enhance each of these areas, this conference is an opportunity for addressing them from a number of perspectives. Presentations will concentrate on the inherent strengths of individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities. Deploying peoples’ personal strengths to aid their recovery and empowerment is the focus of this conference. At the same time we would like the conference participants to help clarify the role of social contexts and social structures in developing and maintaining individual and group resilience. We wish to see strategies that were successful in facilitating positive change as well as those avenues that did not work.
